Through the eyes of our founder

In awe of black hair industry in the US & UK, i was sadden that i could not access to the same level of versatility, expertise and choice. Choosing to wear my hair in its natural state shouldn’t limit my access to the quality and choice of hair extensions available in the market, yet it did. I wanted the ability to wear extensions without people wondering if it was real or not. It is from this gap in the Australian market that ‘Crowned by Tiwaa’ was birthed.

‘Crowned by Tiwaa’ has been established for all women; who like me desire to have more choice when it comes to hair extensions. This brand aims to truly reflect the diversity in the hair textures of first and foremost the black women, and then the woman as a collective.

Our hope is that you find comfort, confidence and beauty in however you choose to wear your hair, but especially when wearing your extensions.
