You’ve invested in quality extensions, all you need is a great care routine to make them last

Check out our top tips and recommended routines to help you along the journey

TIP 01.

Brushing is not always necessary to detangle hair and can sometimes put undue pressure on the weft causing excess shedding and breakage if not done with care. If you choose to use a brush to detangle your extensions, brush on damp hair and with conditioner. Like your own afro-textured hair, brushing on dry hair can cause damage and breakage. The same reigns true for afro-textured hair. Therefore damp hair is best when detangling and brushing.

TIP 02.

Different textures, demand different care routines. We use the term ‘demand’ because while the same routine can be used for two different textures, the results are likely to be very different. Therefore we advocate for giving the love and care that your texture requires. Whilst our blow-out texture is currently our easiest and most low maintenance texture, our kinky textures demands extra care and patience to last as long as you need them to.

TIP 03.

It’s takes work to make it last. Like with a lot of things in life, it takes work to make whatever it is that you need to last, last. You’ve invested in great quality extensions, but it’s going to take work to make them look like they did on day 1, on day 161. This looks like cleansing, conditioning using the appropriate products for the texture of your hair.

With regular (and appropriate) care, you can keep shedding and tangling to a minimum.
